    I am from Hong Kong and am curious about the pronunciation of the word ‘ask’ by some American blacks. My experience is that a lot of black people pronounce the word as ‘axe.’ I have also heard a couple of Latino friends say ‘axe.’ Why is this?

    My guess it’s who you’re talking to, because I don’t pronounce it incorrectly and I am black. You are asian so ask yourself why asians speak differntly. Even the ones who were bron in america.
