Even though the US Census classifies Arab-Americans as Caucasian White, the amount of discrimination and bias that they face is excessive. The fact that they are classified as white means that they are unable to claim minority status or enjoy any sort of affirmative action. That means that it is difficult for them to make any case of discrimination and bias. Do you think it would be better for them to be classified as a separate category, as Hispanics have?
