I moved to NY from Europe a few years ago and have noticed that African Americans in NY have atrocious manners, speech and attitude (exept those from African, Europe or the West Indies and other US states). Almost all the AA i have encounted in jobs and in college have been rude, obnoxious and uncooth – and yet attribute their lack of opportunity not to their objectionable behavior but to racial discrimination??!! Is this just a New York thing or am i unfortunate to encounter the worst that AA community has to offer?? My view is not based on any racial prejudice becase i had no idea what AA (or non-AA) were like before I came here.
