However, I think it is dangerous to assume that all black people have had or are going to have a tougher life than all white people. In your example of two people, i.e. one white, one black with the same qualifications applying for a job, what justifies ALWAYS giving the job to the black person? What if the black guy grew in a high income family and basically had a fun life while the white guy relatively suffered and struggled to get where he was? Does it sound fair to you that he loses his chances on account of color?
