I have always found this explanation for the two fingers absolutely hilarious and very much out of Monty Python’s Holy Grail! ‘You haven’t cut my fingers yet, na-ner-na!’ I also believe the middle finger is probably a phallic gesture but wouldn’t swear it in court.
