You can’t blame her, even though it seems to me she’s only blank-mindedly reciting what her faith or her parents have taught her; but she’s entitled to no matter the obviously wholly closed views of inexperience in her language. Of course, saying that gay people choose to be gay is like saying that the wind blowing Westward is ‘morally wrong.’ Besides, using science to define preference in sexuality as an argument against gay is as rediculous as saying that there is a ‘straight’ gene locatable in persons, genetalia matchability or no. Get over the potty humor fixation of thinking about what gay people do sexually and you will be able to deal with what gay really is. This is the fist time I’ve seen a Christian openly try to use science to defend her views, though, so maybe she’s a Creationist, which at least hints toward some changes of tide in fundamentalist thinking even if it is only to reach outward to support what already is the same of them. Christians need however, to realize how caddy and dull of intellect they sound when they state so flatly how wrong they think other’s lifestyles and other’s religions are in comparison to their own just because they don’t agree. It’s very much like saying I’m better than you are, which only makes others not in agreance with them feel that the Christian is stupid as well as blind. Christianity is not the only way of life, and their attitudes about others should at least reflect this, because doing so doesn’t mean that you are hellbound or immoral. It’s pretty lame to me though, that with as obviously contradictory as the Christian faith is from act to book, that one little statement about ‘gay’ in the bible becomes their burning torch of hate and condescendcion toward many others. As if FEAR isn’t the largest element as to why they denounce gay to begin with. I don’t think your Christian God let’s these characterless judgements which cause great pain and suffering go unnoticed, and your lying to yourself if you think that conceited hate is ever on some totem marker above anything.
