I grew up in Central Florida, too (Longwood to be precise). I travel a lot and the reaction I typically get when I tell people I am from Florida is something like this: Oh, wow! You must go to Disney/the beach all the time! It amazes me. Hello! We have to work for a living just like everyone else. We’re not on a permanent vacation down here.
