First let me lay out that I am Native Canadian and I know what its like to suffer many things. I have lost my culture and language and my land. My Opa is Ukranian. His parents were shot before his eyes when he was young and he was forced to flee the Ukraine for fear that the Holodomer would strike him and his sister. (Holodomer is the Ukranian Holocaust). I don’t believe that any amount of money could ever cure my Opa, no amount of money will make me not upset at what happened to my personal culture. I don’t believe that reparations work at all, its just money and money’s not enough to make what happens to cultural victims right.
