there are certain young black men that like pit bulls and it’s become sort of a trend to own one. it started out in the ghetto and the dog was supposed to protect the turf from cops, rival gangs, etc. it’s become a trend now and you see pit bulls and rottweilers (sp?) in the ‘burbs. it’s also kind of a ‘macho’ thing.
