As Spain colonised a great part of America (America is not only USA, America includes South America and the mid part of the continent too), Spanish is spoken in a vast number of countries across America (the continent) Spanish is spoken by Latin/Hispanic people with diverse background. Hispanics are people who speak Spanish as a result of the Spanish colonisation in America.Hispanics belong to diverse races, socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds that have in common the Spanish language and some cultural issues. Also with Spanish, some native languages are spoken in many countries of the American continent. So it is ridiculous that you tell a person to start speaking a native dialect because Spanish related to Spain originally and Spanish people are white. There are white Hispanics/Latino too and our common heritage is the Spanish language and it is not related to our race. Lack of instruction? Not enough reading? D in History?
