Those that believe the beatings of blacks or anybody else is justified during arrest has blinders on their eyes. There are MANY situations where people who were clearly INNOCENT STILL got beaten brutally by the police. In one videotape I saw, the cop took a woman out of her car and beat her… she didn’t do anything. What justifies beating an unarmed woman? There are countless of other cases like this. Besides, according to the LAW you are INNOCENT until PROVEN GUILTY. Most people are intimidated if they are arrested by the police because, duh, they (the policemen) have guns. Ultimately it’s the policeman the one who should be more responsible, and only use RESTRAINT if their lives are in danger. And of course restraint shouldn’t mean some of the barbaric things police have done to blacks. Please don’t tell me a policeman is justified, for example, to ram their battering sticks (or whatever they are called) up someone’s behind, as what happened in one case with a man who was unarmed and bascially ‘submitted’ during his arrest. This is just plain savage.
