Reply To: Reply To: Where do transsexuals do it?

Transgender is a broader term and isn’t the same as being transsexual. I feel offended when lumped in with the transgender movement. Transsexualism to me is a birth defect of having the wrong organs for your gender. Transgender tends to imply that a person’s gender is non-standard or something other than the traditional two. In many ways, the 2 concepts are diametrically opposed. Transsexuals tend to believe they were born with the wrong body, that there are only 2 genders, and that gender identity is inborn. The transgender community tends to see society as the problem. They also believe gender is both a social constuct and a continuum. I also feel offended lumped in with unrelated lifestyles based on sexual differences. I feel nobody has the right to tell me I must support certain things or be a certain way merely because I was born with the wrong parts.
