I wouldn’t think any less of him. Unfortunately, society doesn’t often agree. Our culture has little support for males: it often teaches us that a man loses part of his masculinity when he is sexually victimized. Also, male rape is quite rare; almost unheard of. Both of these factors translate into much more shame for the male rape victim. Perhaps five of my female friends have confessed their rapes to me. All seemed justifiably sad and angry. Only one male friend confessed the same; he seemed more ashamed than anything else.
