I really have to respond to this one. I am a black female and married. All blacks do not have credit problems. Where did you get this misinformation? My credit is above excellent. If I had to match mine with yours, I bet mine is better. As a black family, my husband and I have excellent credit. It depends on the person, not the race of the person. My husband and I travel at least three times a year on our timeshares that we own free and clear. God has chosen to bless up with good jobs, and I am truly grateful. Don’t knock people with credit problems because whites as well as blacks have bad credit. Life brings misfortunes. If you live long enough, you may experience it yourself. When our daughter was in college, she received credit cards and didn’t have a job. Why? I guess they figured she was white and her parents would pay. I think you value your credit rating as you mature. I know a white friend/co-worker with horrible credit who was able to get a mortgage to buy her townhouse. Do you think that a minority with the same credit history would have been approved? No. Unless you have walked in the shoes of others, don’t be so quick to label them. Misfortunes have happened to many people. You have your job today, but tomorrow is not promised to you. Some people -blacks and whites – just don’t pay their bills and don’t care. Many families, white and black, struggle to make payments from one month to the other. By the way, are you supporting a family? I bet you aren’t. Many families pay a grocery bill of $125 and more a week. And that’s just for food. I worked hard to get my credit where it is and I could not let your comment go by without responding.
