What, pray tell, is ironic about being white, ‘middle aged’, male, living in the South, and wanting to contribute to YForum? You may know people from the South but in both your posts you don’t indicate that you have ever visited or plan to. Pity. I have actually lived in 9 different states in my life and can tell you, without exception, all of those places turned out quite different than how they have been stereotyped. Incidentally, I loved LA and would move back in a heartbeat which makes me the object of derision in most other places I have lived.
