This is what white people do not understand. Regardless of how we dress, we are seen as ‘suspects.’ As long as white people dress the ‘right’ way, they are seen as members of the club, and receive all the benefits and privileges that come with membership. Unfortunately, this is a club that we can never join, unless we are light enough to ‘pass.’
