Well, not too long ago, society tended to look down upon Black people for demanding the right to vote, equal rights and for just being Black, but that didn’t stop us, did it? I’m all for conforming in certain situations, but I’ll be damned if anyone, white or otherwise is going to tell me I have to ruin my beautiful hair with chemicals, to deem it ‘acceptable’ to society. It is acceptable to ME. That is what counts.
