Being still relativley young, I’d have to tell you that I found Gameboys, video games, etc. rather boring when I was a little kid. I was in love with that Barbie crap- not because I was ‘over influenced’ but because, well, because it just appealed to me. I did, however, also like my cousin’s more gruesome toys- ‘The Snot Factory’, G.I. Joes, Creepy Crawlers. I wasn’t into construction, but I loved making sandcastles. My point being, yes, the world’s youth is being subjugated to gender-based differences, but they’re still going to play with what they want. I never felt pressured to buy Barbie, and I’m sure most kids don’t.
