Wow! What a sad reply! Certainly, I’d never perform major construction on my own, but, to judge these decisions based solely on my personal economics? How about: I get a certain personal satisfaction out of completing this task myself. I guess that’s why I’m not materially rich. However, living the way you’ve described it might leave me financially secure, but personally, socially and intellectually destitute.
