I agree that it is a matter of taste. I would rather listen to PJ Harvey, Sonic Youth or the myriad of old punk records I’ve got lying about my apartment. I’ve disliked teeny-pop music since I was a freshman in high school, and I’m not about to start liking it again. To me, the music seems manufactured, boring and more about sparkly eyeshadow (which in itself is not a bad thing, but not a reason to buy a CD) than music.
