If you read my question, you’ll see that I’m not saying that atheists have no morals. Even without a ‘God’ in someone’s world-view, I can easily see why they would oppose theft, murder, lying, etc. In my experience, many (not all, however) people with some form of religion stop asking ‘why?’ and stop thinking about many issues, because they can just fall back on a religious authority, and they feel no need to justify their beliefs further. Since an atheist has no comparable authority, I would hope that they would think about their beliefs on many issues and have reasons that they could explain for why they feel the way that they do. So, what I am asking is what is the reasoning for an anti-homosexual attitude for those who don’t have a religion to fall back on? What makes them consider it wrong?
