Using the right tools like a wide tooth comb and leave in moisturizers also helps. Pony tails are always cute. Oh and have the child’s mother try washing her hair with a moisturizing conditioner instead of shampoo with sodium lauryl sulfate in it.Stay away from the sodium lauryl sulfate, it is too drying to coily hair and it makes our African textured hair harder to comb.
