I have lived all my life in Jersey but occassionally ‘cross the border’. Here’s two of my encounters with NYers. I was coming off the train struggling to carry a stroller and baby gear. A man took my stroller without a word and carried it up the stairs. I was at an intersection the light changed and i stepped off the curb, I didn’t see the cab bearing down on me (apparently red lights meant nothing to him) A hand pulled me back onto the curb and out of harm’s way. The voice said ‘I don’t know where you are from, but we don’t do that here’. I believe NYers have no more rude people than anywhere else. There’s just more people so there’s (by proportion) more rude people.
