I’m 18 years old with a mixed heritage and it’s not about denying your other heritage but for me it’s becoming closer with the one I most look like. I am tall, curvacious, and brown skinned. The only thing that sets me a part from a typical black person is the fact that I have fine instead of coarse hair. So therefore I have to except what people percieve me as because yes, I was taught that if you have a little black blood in you that is what you are and that is what you must except. Above all that I excepted more by black people than white people so of course I would rather be closer to my black heritage
