No. 1, retail has changed dramatically in the last 15 years. I have been cursed, called many names and even run into with shopping carts ‘accidentally’ before. The customer is not always right. The customer has no right to get angry because our store runs out of milk after a snowstorm scares the entire town into buying four or five gallons at a time. When it is snowing outside and there are five employees in the entire store, and we are trying to close early so we can get home before we get iced in, and the customer takes a swing because we won’t let them in to by beer or cigarettes, he or she is not right. To receive respect, the customer must give respect.
