Your facts are not right. Abraham Lincoln confessed faith in Christ after the death of his son, Willie. U.S. Grant wrote to a Sunday school class to hold fast to the Bible and practice its precepts in their lives. George Washington has so many references to his faith it is hard to choose one, but here is a quote from his prayer journal: "... be merciful to me, O God, and pardon me for Jesus Christ's sake... Thou gavest Thy Son to die for me." Thomas Jefferson called himself a Christian, although I probably would not call him one. I can provide references to quotes for all the presidents mentioned. They were Christians.
