You honestly believe that it is ‘tough enough for black actors to get work’? Hollywood is the first place to have a pretty closely distributed racial quality. The thing about pointing the finger at the white producers, writers and directors is another issue. It isn’t that people who don’t like these movies are blaming the black population per say, but anyone who condones the ridicule of a single race for entertainment value. Granted, a lot of it is funny, but when you make an entire movie that ridicules a single race, rather than broad jokes that appear in Chappelle’s Show or a Chris Rock stand-up that make fun of the stereotypes of EVERY race, you really are attacking that single race. People within the asian community seem to especially have a problem with this, and rightly so, as asians are rarely in movies without some kind of jokes being aimed at them. The bottom line is that the people who question the morale of this racial situation aren’t attacking the black community, but the entire situation regarding racial jokes.
