I wonder why Hugo is continuing in law as his response seems to me to be very cynical. If the only pros that can be found are money, access to information, status and power, I can only presume that maybe he is working in the wrong field and the problems listed above are more about his own prejudices about his career. In response to the original message, I don’t think it is possible for anyone to tell you what the pros and cons are of any profession. All you (and everybody else) can do is jump in, give it a go and if it doesn’t turn out to be what you want then you can try something else.
