I live in a ‘student ghetto’- a rundown part of town that is occupied by poor students. We have shoes on our lines. I’ve always attributed it to drunken idiots. There was an artist named in Detroit (Tyree Guyton?) who hung shoes from trees and wires to symbolize lynching.
