For Steven: Are you saying that straightness is a recessive trait? That the /dominant/ sexual orientation is a recessive trait? Can’t you see that it makes no sense? And if you’re saying that being gay is the recessive trait, then that still makes no sense, because then two gay parents wouldn’t be able to have a straight child. Going back to your eye-colour analogy – if we say that B stands for brown eyes, the dominant trait and b stands for blue eyes, the recessive trait, two parents with the genes Bb would have brown eyes themselves (B dominates), but could produce a child with the genes bb, the child having blue eyes. HOWEVER, two blue-eyed parents with the genes bb would have NO gene to dominate over the recessive blue-eyed gene. Therefore, any and all children they might have would have blue eyes. Don’t you see that your argument is flawed? If homosexuality worked like eye-colour either there would be no gay children born to straight parents or there would be no straight children born to gay parents and they BOTH happen!
