i’ve been to a number of funerals, primarily of white or hispanic people. the white people usually looked like their normal skin color, and the hispanic people all looked like a generic shade of brown, and i have always just assumed it was because the mortuary people have fewer makeup colors (yes, the people are wearing makeup, even the men), to select for when it comes to hispanics than they do for whites.
