Consider how I feel when people compliment me on my English when I have lived in America practically my entire life. Or when people say offensive things right in my face because they assume I don’t understand. Or when skinheads corner me on the road to yell racial epithets at me. Well, boo hoo, you get laughed at when you speak Japanese. Why is it that white people feel so self-righteous, believe they have never done any wrong and assume non-whites are too sensitive when they are defensive? Did you ever think that maybe there was a cultural reason behind their reaction, instead of chalking them up as rude(something a white person unfathomably could never be)?
