I’m sure some people out there are attracted to themselves, but it’s probably more of a fetish than a mainstream interest, even for gay men. I have found, though, that quite a few gay men are more interested in the maintenance and appearance of themselves, not because of self -attraction but because we know what type of body and looks we are interested in and try to become our ideal person. I find that rings true even for myself. If I find myself attractive, I tend to be more confident around other people who are attractive. Thus, what looks like a sexual attraction for myself is basically pride in my own body while trying to attract sex from someone else. After all, I can touch myself whenever I want, but I don’t have that kind of access to someone else’s body.
