These are all very honorable principles, but why create a relatively new holiday and have it pushed on everyone at Christmas time? There is no religious deity here. There is no tradition going back a 1,000 years. Plus there are no presents!! These could be principles in Scientology, Buddhism or Alcoholics Anonymous. Why do African Americans need their own ‘everything’ just because of where their ancestors came from? Why is Kwanzaa suddenly getting respect? Why should people of color get their own special holiday?
