That is a radically different view of women’s role in history than any I’ve been taught in classes. In fact, I doubt many people would have the balls to say that in class for fear of being politically incorrect (is that a side-effect of feminism?). It makes sense, though, since raising a family or having children is not as high on people’s priority lists as it used to be, thanks to modern medicine and improved standards of living.
