That is really sad that your parents are racist. I guess that it is not unusual, given their ages and likely the type of exposure they’ve had to other races throughout their lives. Obviously that blindness has not been passed on to their daughter and it is up to the next generation to not only prove how unconstructive separatism is, but to, by example, try to undo what racist legacies have left behind. No small task, but not an impossible one. The irony in all this? All of humankind can be traced back to one man. One common source. That makes us all related!
