I don’t think all adults just use their age as an advantage to get what they want. You are making too big of a generalization. ‘Older People,’ for the most part, make decisions based on what they think will be best, not just to get things out of kids. Adults are the reason any kids are living right now – they have given you food, clothing and shelter for all the years of your life, the least thing you could do is help them out once in a while without totally complaining about it.
