I am surprised you haven’t worked this out by now. The United States provides massive political, military and financial support to the state of Israel, which was established by a United Nations mandate and imposed on the Middle East with scant regard for the sovereignty and welfare of Arabic-speaking peoples. Actually, it is U.S. foreign policy that most Arabs despise, not the American people per se. Think of it this way: if an Arab-dominated United Nations decided to establish a sovereign country for Native Americans within the boundaries of the United States (and perhaps part of Canada), what would most Americans think? Many people, especially in the affected areas, would be very unhappy about it. And if Arabic-speaking countries then proceeded to provide massive political, military and financial aid to prop up the new nation, it is fairly obvious that many Americans (and their friends and allies) would feel some resentment toward Arabic-speaking people, or at least their political leaders and foreign policy. There are, of course, many other issues that contribute toward this climate of hostility (economic issues, religious and cultural differences, perceived Western decadence, etc.) but Israel is the core issue. It sure ain’t simple ‘ole ‘American-hatin’.’
