I think that YOU need to look in your own backyard. A lot of Asian women in America have been adopted. I was born in Korea, but taken in by an Irish-American family when I was three months old. I have a Caucasian boyfriend, but that’s because there weren’t many people of any other ethnicity where I grew up! I don’t date a white man because he’s white — how am I supposed to fall in love with someone of any other ethnicity when there aren’t any around? Even now that I am in NYC, with a huge Asian population compared to my hometown, I don’t ‘go for’ a particular ethnicity to make friends. And honestly, I see just as many black, white, Native American, or Latino people hanging out in ‘groups’ together as Asians.
