Like you I have had ‘minimum wage’, and less, jobs in the past. But I can’t say that your perception was the norm but rather the exception. Its been my experience that open-minded people, not prone to snap judgements, don’t make this assumption. Yes, indeed, there are people out there who would make this assumption but these people, in my experience, tend to lack self-confidence and do this to make themselves feel more important or better. I learned a long time ago that I didn’t have to worry about what others thought of me. When I did that my life was much better. I am who I am, the sum total of my life experiences, and if someone can’t except the package that is their loss, not mine. I am quite happy with the person I see in the mirror in the morning, as you should be.
