We know that it existed. A day does not pass without the memory of it being evoked.It is almost as if your afraid that we might forget about it and start expecting something more from black people as a group.As it is we dont seem to expect much.Right now it’s 2002 and present day whites feel little or no responsibility for what happened in the past. Still thats not to say we are not sorrrrrrrry that it happened. We are the ones who have changed the most since emancipation and the civil rights era of the 50s and 60s.We have evolved from not having to eat with,go to school or live with blacks to not really giving it a second thought.WE really have grown as people since the days of your ancestors enslavement.
