My English teacher told me years ago that kike originates from the word ‘keikl’, which means ‘circle’ in Yiddish. Way back when at Ellis Island, immigrants were grouped by religion and language, etc in order to make it easier for them. Jews were marked with a circle which was likely supposed to be the Star of David. So ‘keikl’ became ‘kike’ over the years. Don’t know how true this is though.
