It’s a health issue. Many people cannot afford to breathe the second-hand smoke, which is harmful to those with allergies, asthma, those with compromised immune systems, children, and pets. There are many smokers who will not be considerate of the vulnerable, so laws are passed to force people to be considerate. You can screw up your health all you want, but you do not have the right to jeopardize anyone else’s health.
