even the ‘tolerant’ ones can’t help but forward that cute little e-mail about how ‘Murika is going to Hell in a handbasket because the little Jewish kid, the atheist kid, and everyone else isn’t forced to join their teacher in a daily devotional prayer. It’s the annoying “You can’t take Christ out of Christmas” campaign. The constant assertions that this is a Christian nation, and it always has been. “God Bless America (and our soldiers)”. And the near-constant invitations to just ‘come visit our church’. At least the vocal ones are easy to avoid. It’s the seemingly harmless acts by people who consider themselves tolerant that are so insidious. And you all don’t even seem notice you’re doing it.
