what context are you using for the ‘coward’ charge? I text my 60-something parents every day, I twitter, I.M., and e-mail my friends. I don’t do it because I’m a ‘coward’ who avoids personal interaction, I do it because I seldom have TIME in my day for a twenty-minute conversation about, basically, nothing. Technology enables me to keep up with what the people I care about are doing and lets them know that I’m thinking of them even when I’m juggling three projects and am running ten minutes late for the train!
