I seems this image of beauty is more associated with wealth. Like when very poor cultures view being heavy as beautiful because it is a sign of wealth. I think if say Mexico or an African country were the wealthiest instead of a country of predoninately European people image of beauty would favor darker skin(at least for those that think lighter skin is more beautiful)
