I just got back from Iraq a few weeks ago and i can tell you how amazed my friends are when I tell them how normal life is for ‘Iraqi teens.’ with all the chaos going on around them, life is generally normal to them. People still go out and have fun with their friends, walk themselves to school, etc. These people have been raised in turmoil-basically that’s all they know. Life has to go on. As far as blackouts, it doesnt even phase them. They just continue what they’re doing, not even skipping a beat in a converstaion they might be having, and wait till the lights come back on.
