I wear a lot of hip hop gear. It’s a comfort thing and a hip hop style necessity, in my experience. For me, it is a rebellion thing against the uptight, neat preppy look (Ambercrombie, American Eagle) that hip hoppers often clash against, at least at times, in the school system. Lastly, hip hop clothing seems to market to large sizes, since some rappers have to or did need those sizes (e.g. Fat Joe, Biggie) and those who emulate the style need it in that way, e.g. basketball or football players.
