I am tired of continually reading the bashing of people’s questions. This site is about asking questions that people are curious about and want to know the truth. Isn’t it better to ask a question and become educated than to sit back and continue to be ignorant? Why do we have to knock people for asking questions? How do we learn about others if we are always too scared to ask questions because others are going to be upset? I agree that some people don’t think before asking a question. I will also agree that people are more or less selfish. However, that doesn’t give anyone the right to slam another because of the questions they ask. Growing Japanese in small midwestern towns I suffered through many ridiculous questions. In my teens, I would respond with aggression. This was never the answer. After I matured a bit, I realized that when people asked these ‘studid’ questions, they weren’t being malicious, they were just curious. When I responded in a negative way all I did was help to solidify their negative beliefs. No matter how ridiculous I find questions these days, I try to be positive with my response and then I try to instruct the person on how to better ask a question in the future.
